Callagenix fax lines are far more than a normal telephone line with a fax machine at the end of it. Faxes are received and stored in your mailbox, or they can be sent directly to your email address.

As the Fax to Email Service can be integrated with all of our telephone lines, you can receive many faxes at the same time (unlike most fax machines), and you never have to worry about running out of paper or toner. You won’t need to scan them in for storage, and as the files are stored in a convenient TIFF format they can be printed out easily should this be necessary.

Faxes received in the UK can be forwarded anywhere in the world via the internet. You can even view your faxes via a web interface.

If you’re waiting for something urgent, the system can even contact you automatically by email or a text message to your mobile to let you know that it’s arrived.

Voice and fax calls can be recognized and treated differently, so the same number can be used for both. For example, using a single telephone number your customers could be diverted to a member of staff while faxes are diverted to a mailbox and stored.

How to use an Fax to Email Service

The Fax to Email Service is aimed primarily at people who do not have ready access to a fax machine or who may want to receive their faxes privately in their email accounts.

Fax to Email Service can be combined with many of the other Callagenix services by setting the automatic fax receive option in the Call Answer settings. For example, a switchboard service can be playing the welcome message to the caller but, if the caller happens to be a fax, then the switchboard service will recognise this and pass the call to the relevant fax service.
